The Prospects search provides fields for finding contacts classified as prospects. Users can narrow the search by name, industry, and other fields. Only contacts assigned the contact type Prospect will be found when using this form.
The following table summarizes how the default fields on the Prospect search map to InterAction fields.
Note that in addition to any criteria the user enters in the fields, the Prospect search only finds contacts that have the Prospect contact type.

| Person or Company | Indicates whether the contact is a person or company. |
| First Name | The first name for a person. Note that this search does not find people work at a prospect; it only finds actual prospects. People who work at a prospect company should be classified as Prospect Personnel. You can use the People search to find such people. |
| Last Name | The last name for a person. This searches the Last Name field in InterAction. Again, this finds prospects who are people, not people who work at a prospect. |
| Company |
The company name field. InterAction searches for prospect companies that have the specified company name and prospect people who have the specified company name. Note, however, that this does not find non-prospect people who work at a prospect company. This field searches both the Company Name and Company Also Known As fields. |
| Industry |
The Industry additional field in the Company\Person Information folder. By default, this field has the list items described in Industry Additional Field List Items. You can modify these items if needed and any changes will be reflected in the search form. To customize the list, add or edit the list items for the Industry additional field in the Company\Person Information folder. |
| Annual Revenue | The Annual Revenue additional field in the Company\Person Information folder. |
| Potential Services |
The Potential Services additional field in the Prospects folder. In a new installation, the Potential Services field does not have any list items. For details, see Firm-Specific List Items for Additional Fields. To customize the list, add or edit the list items for the Potential Services additional field in the Prospects folder. |
| Include Activities/Appointments in this search | Check box that displays activity criteria fields. This can be used to find prospects based on activity criteria. |
