You can use Application Collaboration to delete values from InterAction fields that were brought in through Application Collaboration. To do so, you do the following:
- Configure the Meaning of empty or null values option. See Selecting How Application Collaboration Handles Null or Empty Values.
- Harvest the identifying information for the contact (for example, the data source ID, the contact ID, or an additional field mapping value)
- Leave the column that corresponds the field blank
For example, an additional field data set table has columns for the mapping value and a column for each field to populate. If you harvest a contact’s ID values into the mapping column, but then leave the fields to populate blank, the corresponding fields are deleted.
This delete support is available for the following data sets:
- Address (includes both addresses, phones, and electronic addresses)
- Additional field (all varieties)
- Notes
The related contact and group member data sets can also delete values, but it is done differently. For details, see the following:
The following data sets never delete information:
- Company
- Person
- Classification
- Activity
- Folder Link
