For certain types of data sets, you can have more than one within a single data source. For these data sets, you must enter a name for the data set. This name is used in forming the name of the harvesting table.
For example, an additional field data set named Revenue creates a table called:
INT_DTS_REVENUE$1
Each data set name within a single data source must be unique.
Also, Application Collaboration does not let you use numbers or other special characters in the data set name. The name must be a legal table name for the SQL database.
Understanding how the tables are named is important when harvesting the data. For more details about naming conventions for the data set tables, see Naming Conventions for Data Set Tables and Columns.
The following types of data sets have customizable names:
- Address
- Additional Field (both single and multiple-value)
- Activity
- Classification
- Related Contact
- Folder Link
- Notes
Some data sets can only exist once for a data source. You cannot change the name of the following data sets:
- Company
- Person
- Group Member
