The InterAction Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day scheduled and on-demand InterAction processes. Those processes can include the following:
- Microsoft® Outlook® to InterAction Sync
- User to Firm Contact Sync Process
- Folder Dependency Analyzer
- Run Database Script Process
All processes are monitored through the InterAction Administrator software by selecting the Process – Results entity.
Email Notification
Enter an InterAction Administrator group email address in the scheduled process in the InterAction Administrator.
If properly entered, the designated group of administrators receives email in the event of a problem with the process.
Enter an email address in the following location
- Choose Process – Schedule from the InterAction Administrator main entity list.
- Select an existing process and choose Edit or just choose New (depending on whether the process already exists).
- Select the Send E-mail Message check box and enter the InterAction Administrator email address in the To box.
Select Only if the process fails.
Note: Although you can set the email function so the group receives an email upon successful completion of the process by selecting Always, this is not recommended since the email inbox can become overrun with successful emails.
- Choose OK.
If you receive an error email, research the error message in the LexisNexis Knowledge Base on the InterAction Support web site and take appropriate action.
If you need assistance, contact the LexisNexis Technical Support team.
Monitoring Process Results
Check the Process – Results in InterAction Administrator on a daily basis.
- A green light indicates a successful run. No action required.
- A yellow light indicates a successful run, but with issues. Check the log for assistance in troubleshooting (refer to information regarding the specific process for the log location).
- A red light indicates either a failed run or a run with severe errors. Check the log for assistance with troubleshooting (refer to information regarding the specific process for the log location).
Microsoft Outlook to InterAction Sync
Log File Access
In the event of a problem with the process, access the log files for the process.
You must be able to access the logs in the Data directory on the Process Manager workstation (you already created a desktop link to this directory, as instructed earlier):
- OLC2IACSyncProcess.log
Note that the directory location for this file is dependent upon the Data Directory setting that you chose when installing the InterAction Administrator.
Super-User Password Requirements
| Account Access | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Microsoft Exchange Super User (Microsoft Outlook only) | The InterAction Administrator needs to know the Exchange Super User password. If this access is not allowable, then an Exchange Administrator with the super-user password information needs to be readily accessible. The super-user account access is necessary for the following troubleshooting/resolution situations:
|
User to Firm Contact Sync Process
Log File Access
In the event of a problem with the User to Firm Contact Sync process, access the log files for the process. The default directory installation for the log file is
C:\ProgramData\LexisNexis\InterAction\Data
for all supported operating systems.
Folder Dependency Analyzer
Log File Access
In the event of a problem with the Folder Dependency Analyzer process, access the IAFDAProcess.log log file at C:\ProgramData\LexisNexis\InterAction\Data for the process.
