Prior to logging into Application Collaboration, you may need to change the database connection, for example, if you are setting up a test environment (recommended). This is done through an INI file.
Change the Database Connection
Follow this procedure if you need to change the database to which Application Collaboration connects.
-
With a file editor, open IntIATBC.ini.
For help with finding this file on your operating system, as well as other key InterAction files, see the LexisNexis InterAction Support Center Web site.
- Update the file to specify a different server and/or database.
Logging On and Using Application Collaboration
Once you have configured the client to connect to your InterAction database, you can log on and use Application Collaboration. You must log in to Application Collaboration as an InterAction Administrator User.
An InterAction administrator user is any user that is authorized to use the InterAction Administrator software. For details about configuring these users, see Managing the List of InterAction Administrator Users.
The Application Collaboration client consists of a three-paned main view. The left pane displays the console list. This includes current data sources, data sets, SQL results, and summary information in an expandable list. The top-right pane varies depending on the selection in the console list, and the bottom-right pane displays the address rules for the selected data source. The bottom pane is also used for displaying outstanding claims.

Most commands are available on the main menu bar. You can also right-click the items in the three panes to display context-sensitive shortcut menus.
As you use Application Collaboration to create and configure data sources and data sets, these items display in the console list. You can expand and collapse the items in the list by clicking the plus and minus signs, respectively.
Log On to Application Collaboration
- Start the Application Collaboration client application.
- Enter the Account Name and Password for an active or inactive InterAction Administrator User and choose OK.
