Dictionaried Additional Fields

Dictionaried additional fields are used for special processing. These fields are set out of the box and normally need to be configured only for upgraded environments and other special situations.

Dictionaried Field	Processing Used For
Primary and All Client Number IDs	The InterAction Matters, InterAction Opportunities, and InterAction Engagements modules use these fields to identify the client numbers assigned to your clients. The Primary Client Number IDs field should be assigned to a single-value field. The All Client Number IDs field should be assigned to a multiple-value field.
Contact Industry	The InterAction Matters, InterAction Opportunities, and InterAction Engagements modules use this field to identify a contact’s industry. This is used on some of the out-of-the-box searches for these modules.
DUNS Symbol	Currently, no functionality.
Gender Additional Field	Used if you have configured InterAction for language-specific fields. See “Configuring the Gender Field” in Enabling Language-Specific Contact Information.
Our Personnel Department	Used when displaying a list of firm personnel
Our Personnel Office	Used when displaying a list of firm personnel
Stock Ticker Symbol	Currently, no functionality
Summary Additional Field 1 and 2	Used in Windows Client for displaying global additional fields on the summary pane
Desktop Integration Summary Field 1 and 2`	Used in the Desktop Integration components for displaying global additional fields on the contact details dialog box and in the Search Results preview pane

The Contact Details dialog box is available from personal information managers and from InterAction Objects.

Set Dictionaried Additional Fields

You can specify dictionaried additional fields in InterAction Administrator.

Before you can specify an additional field as a dictionaried additional field, it must exist in the InterAction database.

1. In InterAction Administrator, double-click Dictionaried Additional Fields.
2. Select the Dictionaried Field Name you wish to change and choose Edit.

3. Select the additional field you wish to use for the dictionaried additional field and choose OK.

   To select a folder-specific additional field, select the Browse button.

   Note that the Summary Additional Fields and Desktop Integration Summary Fields can only be set to global additional fields.

Clear a Dictionaried Additional Field

You may need to clear a dictionaried additional field. For example, if it references a field you want to delete, you need to disassociate the dictionaried field from the field to delete first.

1. In InterAction Administrator, double-click Dictionaried Additional Fields.
2. Choose Clear.
3. When prompted to confirm the change, choose Yes.
