Reminder settings are used to set which activity types are used when integrating reminders with activities. They are also used to set the security of links included in reminder messages.

Default Activity
Users can best track how they attempted to strengthen a relationship with a contact after receiving a reminder message by entering activities. The information users record in an activity after acting on a reminder may be included on the next reminder message they receive for that contact. This lets users quickly refresh their memory of their last encounter before again calling the contact or sending them an email.
You can configure the default activity type for activities created from reminder messages for all users in InterAction Administrator. When users choose the Add Activity link from a reminder message, the Add Activity dialog box defaults to this activity type. Users can select a different activity type instead of the default when they create an activity from a reminder message.
You can also select No default - Usermust specify if you do not want to influence how your users communicate with their contacts. That way your users know they can choose whatever activity type works for them.
Available Types for My Last Activity
Reminder messages include the most recent activity a user had with that contact. You can limit the activity types that are included when InterAction searches for the last activity. You need to select at least one activity type to include in the search.
Configuring Reminder Settings
- On the main window of InterAction Administrator, double-click Reminders.
- Choose the Settings button to open the Reminder Settings dialog box.
- Choose the Default type for activities... drop-down list and select the default type you want to set for activities created from reminder messages.
- Select all the activity types you want available to users as “My Last Activity” results and clear the types you do not want to include in the Limit ‘My Last Activity’... list.
- Select the Generate links in the reminder message... check box if you want links in the reminder message to open on a secure Web site.
