You set the options for a folder link data set in the New/Edit Marketing List Data Set dialog box.
Options Available in a Folder Link Data Set

Create a Folder Link Data Set
- Select the data source for the data set from the console list.
- Choose
or Data Set > New > Folder Link.
- Enter a Name for the data set. This must be unique among data sets within the same data source.

Under Data Set Includes, select which folders you want to include:

Under Map Contact Based On, select the method for finding the InterAction contacts to add to the folder:

If you selected Sponsored Marketing Lists Only, under Map Sponsor Based On, select the method you want to use to find the InterAction users to add as sponsors for the contacts on the marketing list:
To Do This Use the InterAction user account name (such as EROBERTS) Select User Account Use an additional field value, such as client number or employee code Select Additional Information, then select the field to use for mapping from the drop-down list Use the internal InterAction contact ID Select InterAction Contact (Listing ID) For more details, see Finding the InterAction Users to Add as Sponsors.
When adding a contact to a marketing list with sponsorship, the sponsor must be an active InterAction user. An inactive user cannot be added as a new sponsor.

Under Map Folder Based On, select the method you want to use to find the folders to update:
To Do This Use the name of the folder used in InterAction Select Folder Name.
For each contact you harvest, harvest the name of an InterAction folder.
Use the internal InterAction folder ID Select Folder ID.
For each contact you harvest, harvest the ID used in InterAction for the folder.

- Choose OK to close and save the data set.
Why Would I Choose Sponsored Marketing Lists Only?
When creating a Folder Link data set, selecting the Sponsored Marketing Lists Only option allows you to additionally set how the Marketing List sponsor is mapped. The Map Sponsor Based On area of the dialog becomes active, enabling you to specify how the appropriate user is set as the sponsor.
Edit a Folder Link Data Set
- Select the data source in which the data set belongs from the console list.
- Right-click the folder link data set (
) and choose Edit.

Change the fields as needed.

- Choose OK.
Delete a Folder Link Data Set
Deleting an existing data set deletes the corresponding data set table. It does not change the data previously imported into InterAction using the data set.
- Select the data source in which the data set belongs from the console list.
- Right-click the folder link data set (
) and choose Delete.
- When prompted, confirm the delete.
- Update any harvesting routines to remove any references to the corresponding table.
