You use the InterAction Factory to update InterAction with the cleansed data. To update InterAction with data from the corrected text file, you must identify the file name and location of the file you want to import.
Importing the data is similar to transforming a data set - Application Collaboration finds the existing addresses and updates their information with the changes. Note that new data is not created during the import.
Update InterAction with the Corrected Data
- Copy the corrected data file to the workstation. Note the filename and location.
- Choose Console > Factory Import.
Enter the File Name and Location for the file to import.
Choose the Browse button to browse for a directory location on your workstation.
Choose File Import to import the data. InterAction is updated with the data in the specified file. The total number of updated records displays at the bottom of the dialog box.
Only addresses that have changed are updated. Addresses in the import file that are identical to the corresponding address in InterAction are not updated.
- When the import is complete, choose Close.
