InterAction allows you to establish relationships between contacts. These relationships can be between people and people, companies and companies, or people and companies. The following are some examples of relationship:
- Brad Faulkner is a Board Member of Panorama, Inc.
- Donna Roeser Knows Brad Faulkner
- Dharma Industries is a Subsidiary of Guru, Ltd.
Relationships allow you to “associate” two contacts and describe how they are related.
The relationship types define each relationship, such as “Board Member,” “Knows,” or “Subsidiary.” Using a set of types to define these relationships helps users find and view relevant information in both the Web Client and the Windows Client.
For example, a user can quickly view all board members for a company in the Web Client from the Company Overview page for that company. Similarly in the Windows Client users can perform a search or sort the related contacts view to display board members.
