The list of contact types that apply to a contact appear in the contact header. By default, all of the contact types applied appear in this list.
Because this list could get very long in some cases, you can define the maximum number of types that should appear. If more types than the maximum are applicable to the contact, the user can see them by selecting the More link. For example, if you change this maximum to five, only the first five types applied to a contact appear in the contact header.
To change the maximum number of contact types shown in the header, you edit the InterAction.cfg configuration file for the InterAction Application Server.
On your InterAction Application Server machine, locate and open the InterAction.cfg file. In a typical installation, this is normally the following:
C:\Program Files\LexisNexis\InterAction\AppServer\iahome
Locate the maxContactTypeResults variable. By default, this line looks like the following:
maxContactTypeResults = 0
- Change the number to the value you want. This defines the maximum number of contact types that appear next to the contact’s name in the page header area.
- Save the InterAction.cfg file.
- The new maximum is used the next time the Application Server reloads the cache.
