After you have loaded contact information into InterAction from your organization-wide data sources, you can begin the process of loading each user’s contact information into InterAction and rolling InterAction out to users.
It is best to wait to load user information until after you have loaded your organization’s contact information for all the following reasons:
- When contacts are in the firm list and have the appropriate contact types set, you can define Smart Connect rules to help users contribute their contacts.
- Providing good contact information to users at rollout builds excitement and encourages users to take advantage of InterAction.
- Ensuring you have good contact information to start with reduces the amount of data cleansing, verification, and other decisions that data stewards must make when managing information added with each user’s rollout.
To help you plan your rollout of InterAction to users, as well as the initial load of each user’s data, a number of recommendations have been developed as well as an overall process for loading the contact information. For details, see the following sections:
