The InterAction Web Client gives end users access to the various folders in several ways. In most cases, the term list is used rather than folder:
- The main Web Client menu includes buttons for Contact Types, Marketing Lists (Unsponsored), Marketing Lists (Sponsored), and Working Lists. These display pages that list all the relevant lists a user can read. Users can then view the contacts on the list, add more contacts to the list, and perform other actions.
- From the Person/Company Overview page, users can see which working lists or marketing lists contain the contact. Users with sufficient access rights can also edit the folder-specific information for these folders.
- The Web Client automatically generates a search for each working list and marketing list. Users can quickly find a subset of contacts from the list that meet additional criteria.
- Users with appropriate access rights can create and edit activities regarding working lists and marketing lists (i.e., folder-specific activities).
- Users with appropriate access rights can create and edit list-specific phones and addresses for contact type lists, working lists, and marketing lists.
- Users with appropriate access rights can set list-specific mailing addresses for contacts in contact type lists, working lists, and marketing lists.
Web Client users can create and manage working lists. Note that the other classes must be managed using the Windows Client.

Viewing the Lists for a Contact
[A] Select type of lists to view.
[B] This pane displays the lists that contain the contact. The currently selected list is shown in bold.
[C] Fields and notes for the selected list.
In addition to viewing the list of contacts in a folder, the Web Client uses information from folders in other ways:
- The contact types that apply to a contact are displayed next to the contact’s name when displaying a contact.
- Folder-specific fields and notes can be displayed on custom profiles. For details, see Adding Additional Fields to a Web Client Profile.
- Folder-specific fields can be used as criteria fields on custom search forms. For details, see Add Criteria Fields to Web Client Search Form.
- Activities that are regarding a folder (folder-specific activities) can be displayed on the user’s My Alerts page and in the activity views for a contact.
- Folder inclusion can be used as criteria on custom search forms. For example, a Web Client search can be configured to only find contacts that are included in a particular folder. For details, see Add Criteria Fields to Web Client Search Form.
